Project Notes: The Zipper canopy provides cover for outdoor seating at a Portland area food court. The structure is an all wood framed canopy roof supported on four wood columns. Columns are connected to the roof structure with knee braces for resisting lateral loads. The foundation employs helical piles to reduce the foundation footprint and minimize construction conflicts. SFA Design Group provided design and construction drawings for this project.
